Chris Carhart is an adjunct professor in the Emergency Management and Homeland Security Program. He holds a Master’s Degree in Government and Security Studies from Johns Hopkins University, and a dual Bachelor of Science in International Affairs and Social Science from FSU. He has also earned industry certifications in emergency management, federal law enforcement, and strategic security, including a Certificate in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from FSU, and completion of the Criminal Investigator Training Program at the United States Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.

Mr. Carhart has held multiple positions with state and federal government agencies, all with intensifying public safety, law enforcement, intelligence, and national security responsibilities. His areas of expertise include counter-terrorism/counterinsurgency, strategic intelligence, and cyber security. The last 10 years of his career have been spent investigating and adjudicating cyber-enabled fraud, organized/transnational cybercrime, and cyber operations with implications for US national security.
