DIRT UAS Field Operations Guide (FOG)

This Field Operations Guide (FOG) applies to all UAS operations conducted by the Emergency Management and Homeland Security Program (EMHS), the Center for Disaster Risk Policy (CDRP), the Disaster Incident Research Team (DIRT), or the Disaster Intelligence Analysis Laboratory (DIAL) at Florida State University.

The authority for modifying or updating this FOG resides with the Director of EMHS or CDRP, the UAS Program Manager, or the UAS Training Manager.

All personnel, including faculty, staff, and students are expected to operate in accordance with (IAW) this FOG.

This FOG is in accordance with the CDRP UAS Standard Operating Guide, EMHS policies and guidance, State and Federal policies and regulations, and University regulations.

Organization

This FOG is focused on UAS operations and supporting activities and consists of clear procedures, workflows, and checklists. It is designed to be usable in the field as a reference. This FOG does not replace personnel training or qualification processes.
