FSU EMHS ProgramThe Emergency Management & Homeland Security Program is part of the Askew School of Public Administration at Florida State University. Students in the EMHS Program are able to select classes covering a range of topics, from the core principles of Emergency Management to related areas in Public Health and Terrorism Studies. Cross-discipline and non-degree seeking students are welcome to enroll. Several courses in the EMHS Program are also offered online, accommodating distance-learning students and local students with busy schedules.
Graduate and Undergraduate Certificate ProgramsAn Academic Certificate in Emergency Management is available to students who complete the required core and elective courses. In addition to two core Emergency Management courses, students earning a Certificate will select three additional elective courses (two for undergraduates). Elective courses cover subjects such as Risk Communication, Public Health, Ethics, Terrorism, and more.
